Bye Bye Blackbird- 傳唱近百年的爵士名曲原來是在說這個？！

這首再過六年就買一百歲的超級名曲
是由作曲家 Ray Henderson 和作詞家 Mort Dixon 合作完成的，發行於1926年。其實現在歌手們演唱的版本通常都是只有副歌 (chorus)的 32 小節，但這首歌本來有兩段主歌 (verse) 的歌詞。以下附上兩段主歌的歌詞給大家參考，第一段跟象徵厄運的 blackbird 道別，第二段是說象徵美好未來的 bluebird 在遠處呼喚著：

Blackbird, blackbird singing the blues all day
Right outside of my door.
Blackbird, blackbird why do you sit and say
There’s no sunshine in store?
All through the winter you hung around.
Now I begin to feel homeward bound.
Blackbird, blackbird gotta be on my way
Where there’s sunshine galore.

是歌手，同時也是非常優秀的鋼琴家和作曲家 Nina Simone 領銜的演奏版本。從他的演奏中可以聽到他深厚的古典底子：    • Nina Simone - Bye Bye Blackbird (1962)
